Give Flowers To Thank Someone In Your Office

by: George White

Recognition is something that most of us require. Lets face it, being honored makes us feel special inside. Dale Carnegie might have been right when he said the greatest thing you could ever do for anyone was to remember their name. As humans we often appreciate and crave a "Thank You" or a token of appreciation.

One of the best ways to say "Great job done" or "Thank you for all you do" is with a gift of flowers. There is something about giving someone a beautiful bouquet of flowers or gift basket of delectable fruits, cheeses, and teas that says, "We really do appreciate you."

A plant, a flower, or a fruit basket speaks to our love of life and creation. We don't make these items, Mother Nature does; and they touch us in a way no other gift can.

Flowers don't just say, "I love you", or "Happy Birthday", they say "You have done a great job for our company, and we want you to know you are a valuable member of our work force."

Pure gifts from nature surpass gender and age. A child's graduation, your Dad on Father's Day, a secretary who makes your day, or even a neighbor are great people who need a gift of best wishes and appreciation.

It has developed into a common token in the corporate world to send baskets of fruit and sweets or floral arrangements to say "Thanks", "Welcome", or just for no reason at all. Staff love seeing the flower man arrive with an arrangement, and when he stops at your desk, I can tell you, you feel like a queen.

Never underestimate the power of a potted plant or vase of roses. These gifts speak volumes. It is natures best and most beautiful for someone who needs a "Thank you."

Remember the old adage, "Say it with flowers"? Well, maybe it is true; next time a co-worker needs a little encouragement or a pat on the back for a job well done, try saying it with flowers.
