How To Make More Money By Being Lazy Vol.1
by: The Lazy Loaded Guy
Tip # 1
I have found that some of the easiest ways to build wealth are insanely simple and usually right under our nose. Many times we already know these things and just don’t do them. In this edition we are going to talk about one of the easiest ways to save money. This is for property owners only. If you don’t own your own house/apartment then do it NOW. Every dollar you spend on rent could be paying your mortgage down and with interest rates so low banks are practically giving mortgages away. You will never become rich paying rent, period.
Have your banker change your payments from monthly to bi-weekly. Sounds simple enough. Get them automated out of your account. Instead of paying $2000 per month, you pay $1000 every two weeks. No big deal. What this will do is keep your payments the same but an extra payment per year will get slipped in. This will actually reduce a 25 year mortgage by 5 to 10 YEARS. This saves people an average of $100,000 over the life of their mortgage. $100,000!!!!!Most of this is just shaving off the interest you will pay.
Most mortgages will also allow a once a year payment without penalty. Capitalize on this because it will reduce your mortgage time even more and save you the interest in the long run.
Take action on this today and you will thank me later. If you ever want to read a good book on automating your wealth you may want to check out The Automatic Millionaire by David Bach. I don’t get paid anything for endorsing him it’s just a great read.
