MLM Leads Success
by: Suzanne Fulford
How do you generate MLM leads in your business? Generating MLM leads is a very important aspect to success in MLM. If your company forbids or restricts advertising to generate MLM leads and relies solely on traditional face-to-face networking, you need know an enormous amount of people to have MLM success.
Can you advertise your MLM business to generate leads? I can’t tell you how many people I speak to that are not allowed to advertise their MLM businesses! They can’t advertise their products, their opportunities—nothing!
Is your MLM company tying your hands and feet?
Here’s what it sounds like: Suzanne, can you help me? I’m with the XYZ Company, and their products are incredible! They’ve helped my family to become healthy again or they've saved us lots of money with their wonderful services. The problem is, I’ve told my family and friends how unbelievable this stuff is, but they don’t really seem to care, and they definitely don’t want to join me in my business. What am I doing wrong?
My first answer is that you’re doing nothing wrong. The problem isn’t with you. As a matter of fact, the problem is never with the person who’s asking for help—these people are the leaders! But the system in which they are working is outdated and is one in which practically no one can have success. Making your 100-name list and implementing the three-foot rule just doesn’t work.
Face-to-face, belly-to-belly
Why doesn’t it work to generate MLM leads? Because 92 percent of the population is sales-resistant, and they don’t like to sell or be sold—only 8 percent like to sell or be sold, and they’re the red, type A personalities. Those 8 percent are the ones telling the rest of us to make those 100-name lists. We want to be successful, so we make that list, and it doesn’t work!
But, for the sake of argument, let’s say you start building your business face-to-face and belly-to-belly. How many others can duplicate that? Not many.
Advertising is the answer!
You see, non-MLM businesses have known this all along. Why? Because it works! Even better, target your advertising. Only talk to the people who’ve raised their hands and said “I want to hear about what you have.” That’s called rejection-free advertising. Not everyone will want what you offer, and that’s perfectly okay—don’t talk to them, and you won’t be rejected. Anyone can do that! When you take rejection out of the equation, it’s duplicable for everyone. That’s what you want.
Many companies tie their distributors’ hands, telling them that they can’t advertise in a certain place or in a specific way, and even that they can’t advertise at all. They’re telling their distributors to use only strictly belly-to-belly, “word of mouth” advertising because “it’s the most effective form.” Okay, if it’s so effective, how come it’s so hard to do? After all, it’s called network marketing, not network “beat your friends and family over the head until they buy or join”!
Remember that 92 percent of the population doesn’t like to sell or be sold, so don’t do it! Advertising is the answer. If your company doesn’t allow advertising to generate MLM leads, then your company is tying your hands and feet. Find a company that will untie them and let you generate MLM leads your way.
