The Top 15 Worst States To Look For A Job

I perfected my resume so good no one can even come close to this master piece, I even created a Blog bio in hopes to get recognized in my area.” Are you asking those questions to yourself? I believe a major issue for this would be because of the state or region that you’re in.

I wanted to share with you some resources or data that will help you on your job search. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS); If you live in anyone of these states, then you might want to think about either changing careers, or possibly relocate (not that you would want to.) However, you should make sure to compare your state with the rest of the regions. Or if you have a good business sense, then my recommendation would be to look into something that you could do for yourself – like start your own business. Hey, just a thought… The Labor Market Info (check your state LMI under your web search) is an excellent source to check on your local career stats. "Labor market,” means that potential demand for the claimant's services in the locality where he or she offers them. A labor market may expand or contract with such factors as the season, weather, economic conditions, and consumer demands. "Substantial field of employment" means the presence of potential job openings with more than a minimal number of employers who would use the services offered by the claimant.”

Therefore with that defined, I would like to share with you the Top “15” Worst States to find employment according to their unemployment rate starting in rank (Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) along with some of my comments:

1 MICHIGAN 10.6 % (pretty obvious)

2 RHODE ISLAND 10.0 %

3 SOUTH CAROLINA 9.5 %

4 CALIFORNIA 9.3 % (The “Jones” have left the state)

5 NEVADA 9.1 % (Even “Donald Trump” got problems)

6 OREGON 9.0 %

7 DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA 8.8 %

8 NORTH CAROLINA 8.7 %

9 INDIANA 8.2 % (I don’t know if I’m going back to..)

10 GEORGIA 8.1 %

11 FLORIDA 8.1 %

12 MISSISSIPPI 8.0 %

13 TENNESSEE 7.9 %

14 OHIO 7.8 %

15 KENTUCKY 7.8 % (Seriously???)

It is a bit scary isn’t it? However all is not lost, as I had stated in one of my previous articles, “The real truth Keep plugging away at your search, make sure that all your resources in obtaining a job is used to your utmost confidence.”
